Review of Pixels (2010) by Ziv E — 09 Oct 2017
Pixels is just a movie which I don't think is as bad as people say.
The action scenes are good, the message works well in concept and the visuals are great.
However, due to a stupid story, abysmal jokes, a mostly generic city setting and characters that range from dull to hatable, I can't call this film good enough to be passable.
If you just want an endless compilation of video game shenanigans, this would work rather well, but I recommend you watch The Angry Birds Movie and Warcraft before this.
Why?
Both of them are better movies.
It's better than Hotel Transylvania 1 and 2, but I'd honestly take Frozen and Lassie over this film.
Adam, you were close to escaping it, but I still say you deserve The Burning Medallion Of Badness here.
