Review of The Lego Ninjago Movie (2017) by Ziv E — 12 Oct 2017

This wasn't good enough for a movie. The show has been awesome, the movie....not so much. I expected lots of laughs and the same level of fun as the Lego Movie and Lego Batman movie and was really disappointed.

The cat part was lazy and lame on the writers part. It didn't make sense and was just dumb...and not the good dumb where it's funny. With the exception of Jackie Chan, Theroux and Franco, the other character voices weren't good choices.

I don't understand the point of disregarding the Ninjago show and its story when it has been successful and has been well known and loved by many kids and their parents for many years. It's not like it's an off air show in need of a reboot.

Hopefully Lego learned their lesson and don't try to push movies out without really thinking it through. Lego, please write a solid script and make sure it will be a success before you try to churn out another weak film.
