Review of Pieta (2012) by Yifan S — 18 Nov 2012
It may leave you totally clueless with the eccentric characters and behaviors at first, but this new social satire by Kim Ki-Duk would be rewarding if you stick with it until the end. The pace was really good that it only felt like an hour.
The subject is not necessarily fresh, Bong Joon-Ho "Mother" is one similar case. What is more responded to me is Andrea Arnold's "Red Road". Not Kim's best but still worth the time.
