Review of Pierrepoint: The Last Hangman (2005) by Riley H — 29 Jan 2011
Excellent biopic about Albert Pierrepoint, Britain's foremost executioner from the 1930s through the 1950s. I always liked Spall - hugely underrated actor - and he's outstanding here, as a man trying and failing to "compartmentalize," as we would say these days.
Highly recommended.
