Picnic at Hanging Rock Australian film directed by Peter Weir. Starring Anne-Louise Lambert, Helen Morse, Rachel Roberts. Adapted from the novel of the same name by author Joan Lindsay. Movie chronicles the disappearance of various schoolgirls including their teacher during a picnic to Hanging Rock in 1900.
Peter Weir is known for classy works previously, such as Dead Poet's Society, The Truman Show. No doubt his early work is certified stamp on his beginning of fresh-career. Russell Boyd's eerie cinematography beholds Peter's vision of the story. Now, we have nothing of sort of freaky faces, or Leatherface like characters and yet we have an invisible fear, engineered by Peter in the film.
A must watch film if you're fan of 'party-on-hunt' !
