Review of Picnic at Hanging Rock (1975) by Louisa T — 26 May 2017
Peter Weir's enchanting turn of the century dreamscape is beautifully imagined though it frustratingly leaves little explanations- only insinuations. Still, it was a definite turning point for Aussie films and the use of Beethoven's Emperor concerto 2nd movement provides some of the most perfectly evocative moments on screen.
