Review of Pickpocket (1959) by Codie E — 21 Sep 2007
I saw little visual poetry outside of the incredible pickpocket scenes, instead I found it to be an affecting small and intimate film. However, the film was hindered by a number of poor performances but succeeded in its ambiguity and its central character, and in particular his relationships with Jeanne and his mother.
