Review of Pickpocket (1959) by Alexander A — 27 May 2008
The non-acting acting is really jarring at first but then you get used to it. It makes the film have it's own style unlike any other film. I love the whole psychology behind why Michel pickpockets.
His whole skewed idea of the world and how it should be really defined his character. The pickpocketing scenes were tense as hell and it was filmed so well. I didn't know how in the world they were doing that shit.
This also has great themes of redemption and I always love that.
