Review of Pickpocket (1959) by Anthony D — 16 Oct 2008
Very well-directed and shot, impressively unpredictable, with some funny and well-choreographed pickpocketing. But the biggest problem with the film is the acting: too many of the performances are wooden and dull.
The characters are interesting enough, but because of the performances I couldn't sympathise with them. I will admit the final pickpocketing sequence was really riveting. The final scene was really strange, though.
