Bowser combines excellent rarely-seen archival footage of Phil's performances and interviews with vivid and frank recollections from friends, fans, colleagues, and family members to paint the clearest picture of the artist seen since even before his death.

Phil's words are as true now as they were fifty years ago, and his conviction no less inspiring.
