Review of Three Identical Strangers (2018) by Jason M — 19 Dec 2018
Three male triplets tell a story on how they stangely got to know about each other as they all were adopted as infants. This starts of as a very positive and happy film as they meet rather randomly around the areas of New York whan they are in they're late teens.
It rapidly turns dramatic and sad as they get to know they where part of an experiment. They felt like lab rats and there are a lot of focus here on moral and psychological matters - especially in the last half of this documentary.
It's very interesting and unique and it's presented like a story that seem so vivid that you have an hard time accepting it.
I found it a bit long. It's not that there are many uninteresting parts here, it's on point the entire playtime, but it goes into a lot and you kind of tire from it. More questions are raised than answered. That said, this is a great documentary that does exactly what you want from a film of this kind - it goes deep, it goes hard.
8 out of 10 Marlboro cigarettes.
