Teen Titans Go! To the Movies Due Out July 27.

Initial Reaction: What movie did they see?

Main Characters.

Robin, Raven, Starfire, Beast Boy, Cyborg: The Teen Titans. They are voiced by Scptt Menville, Tara Strong, Hynded Walch, Greg Cipes, Khary Payton.

Slade: He's the bad guy. He's voiced by Will Arnett.

Plot Summary.

It's movie night, and the Teen Titans are out to see the latest superhero film. But they are not allowed at the premier because everyone thinks they're a joke.

So, they decide to get an arch-nemesis so they are really heroes and can get a movie on their own, and they find one in Slade.

But Slade's not interested in taking on adversaries - he just wants to complete his master plan.

But the Teen Titans won't take no for an answer and they insist on starting a rivalry with Slade and get that movie about them made- no matter what the cost.

SCORING.

Main Characters.

For the most part, these six are really good. I liked Robin the best because of the way he handles (or doesn't handle) the situation at hand.

And Slade's a really good villain because he works behind the scenes - and everyone thinks he is Deadpool.

But I would've like to see Raven exhibit more of her shy, introverted personality. SCORE: 8.

Supporting Cast.

There are several other heroes that show up and add something funny to the story as well as a great Stan Lee cameo. SCORE: 9.

Plot.

I enjoyed the path this film took and all the whacked out situations the heroes get themselves into and out of. And there are a few touching moments as well that work. SCORE: 9.

Originality.

It's another superhero film, I know. But this one isn't afraid to bash superhero films or the Teen Titans. And it does a great job of roasting them both. SCORE: 8.

Violence Factor.

There are a few fights between Slade and the Teen Titans resulting is massive destruction of buildings with nobody really getting hurt. This is one reason nobody takes them seriously. SCORE: 7.

Other Moral Issues.

This film does a good job of pointing out the important things in life, and how one can easily lose them. SCORE: 9.

Final Score (out of 60): 50 % Score: 83.33%.

If only other genres could be as imaginative as the superhero genre.
