Review of Phantom of the Paradise (1974) by Chris S — 23 Dec 2010
A worthy film debut for Brian De Palma. A wonderful, nostalgic, cheesy musical, parodic, and vibrating blend of concepts and myths from literature, film and rock n' roll that transcends thanks to Brian De Palma's trademark bizarre and striking quality of scenes.
Is it me or is Marylin Manson is the bastard child of the phantom in this film?
