Review of Phantasm (1979) by Chris F — 04 Jan 2009
A great deal of things about this movie worth laughing at, and one gets the feeling that given some more money and a great deal more talent both in front of and behind the camera this could have been an enduring horror classic and not just a cult film.
In spite of this film's numerous shortcomings however it manages to be unpredictable enough to set it apart from its contemporaries. Also, the silver spheres are probably the coolest henchmen ever.
