Review of Phantasm (1979) by Nathan N — 28 Jan 2009
"Phantasm" is America at it's best. A group of well-meaning, marginaly talented and ordinary people come together to create something wonderful, a sum greater than it's parts. "Phantasm" is more than sets it's self apart from the other impressive indie horror efforts of the late 70's.
It's an extremely heartfelt and effective ode to childhood paranoia and the dangers of adolescent adventure.
