Review of Phantasm (1979) by Marcus W — 12 Mar 2009
This movie is all over the place and it's certainly not scary or particularly gory. It seems like somebody had lots of random ideas and chucked them all into one film (and those famous silver balls are completely pointless).
There's a big plot twist reveal at the end which only serves to raise even more questions, and to be honest I spent much of the film counting down how long was left - thankfully it's short. It's one saving grace is the little jawa dwarf things - they were creepy, but too little too late.
