Cult classic. A great supernatural horror movie with a concept that hadn't been done during its time period. The special effects are very good for its time and the music goes well with the eerie tone of the film.

The acting is very hammy and laughable at times. I did enjoy Angus Scrimm as The Tall Man. He was very creepy and sinister and was a force to be reckoned with. There were some scenes that made me cringe my bed pillow and the scene that is most talked about among film critics, nerds, etc.

really caught me by surprise. It was definitely an "Oh Shit" moment. Don Coscarelli directed this film. In fact he did the entire Phantasm movie series. He's one of the most underrated directors I've seen.

He's also done Bubba Ho-Tep which is one of my favorite Bruce Campbell movies of all time and he recently did John Dies At The End, which I just watched and will review later. He knows how to keep the audience focused on everything going on in his movies.

This is a movie I will watch over and over again. I look forward to meeting Angus Scrimm at Days of the Dead in July.
