One of the best and boldest movies of the time. This movie is wonderfully bold as it deals with puberty,sex,rape and growing up in a gossipy small town. The cast pulls of the roles splendidly and keep it all fairly down to earth.
This movie kind of reminds me of the more rescent Pleasantville with reeth witherspoone & tobey maguire but Peyton Place does a better job of it. Though it has taboo subjects the end product is a good lesson and very much worth all viewers time.
