Review of Peyton Place (1957) by Kate C — 05 Jan 2008
One of my favorite guilty pleasures ;) so over the top and melodraumatic ... but even then looking past all of that the topics it addressed were daring ... if I had to pick one word to describe this movie I would say "salacious".
Whats more interesting, however, is to look at the reaction both the book/movie/tv series prompted in society at the time. It may seem like an odd pairing, but I recommend watching this with "Sitting Pretty".
