Not the best adaptation ever made. Instead, Disney seem to have been relying on the advertising campaign and nostalgia. Good on them for trying to make it more diverse and inclusive, however. Great work on the special effects.
Everything else is a bit lacking though. Remakes from animated to live action are always contentious and difficult, but this doesn't quite get there. Someday Disney will nail the process.
