Review of Peter and Vandy (2009) by Alysia V — 16 Feb 2010
Since seeing Jason Ritter in "Good Dick" I was searching for other movies to watch him in and came across this one. I admit, it's because of Ritter that I liked this movie so much but there's just something great about him.
He's infectious and the more I see him, the more I love him. The chemistry, connection and events between these two is very realistic and relateable. I felt like I was watching more of a documentary than a movie with this film.
Their meeting and their relationship and progression and eventually digression all felt very real-life to me and was very entertaining to watch. It's one of those more dialogue driven films, which I like, and it's not wonderfully made but there's a real quality to it and, as I said, Jason Ritter is someone I can't help but love.
I want to see him in more movies and am so glad I gave this one a try, even though it's a virtually unknown film.
