Review of Personal Effects (2009) by Ján S — 10 Dec 2009
Michelle Pfieffer and Ashton Kutcher are in the same support group after each of them had lost a loved one. They make a connection and soon after become each others support.
It is really interesting to see Ashton Kutcher in these kinds of moody roles. Even after Butterfly Effect, he seems like a fish out of water. Or at lest one who is getting used to breathing air. Michelle Pfieffer does a pretty good job at reminding us why we liked her in the first place.
The only problem with this movie is, that there is such a downer mood to it, it is hard to watch. It is seriously a wristcutter. Not bad, not great, but worth a rental.
