Review of Perfect Creature (2007) by Erno K — 08 Jan 2008
First things first. Yay, Saffron Burrows is back! Where has she been? I liked her in Deep Blue Sea and have not seen her since methinks. I liked her in this too, she is likeable. Interesting flick. Yet another take on the old vampire genre, but a fresh one.
I particularly liked the quasi-steampunk setting of the twenties, or some time near that. Very bleak and depressing and dirty. The plot was pretty pointless in my opinion, but that was never the important part in this kind of movie for me.
I just like superhuman characters, and the vampires (sorry, Brothers) were pretty tough in this movie. Especially the villain, Edgar was pretty badass. Do not expect a good story, but if you like some groovy vampires in a cool setting, check this out.
