Review of Perfect Creature (2007) by Zeynep G — 28 Mar 2009
Yay! finally a cool and original vampire story. I was so very happy after the first 10 minutes.
Unfortunately directors think that viewers don't get the genre unless rivers of blood run. Well...it'S NOT true.
Also trying to tie loose ends under 90 minutes is NOT always possible.
This movie had so much potential, it could even be made into the next underworld with sequels but somehow the last 20 minutes or so blew it. My guess is there has been hardcore editing which resulted in a rushed ending and an unbalanced last half. The issue of Silus-Lilly relationship was left open, a lot of questions about the virus and the female left unanswered and so forth...
I wish someone would do a remake of this with the proper care.
Why would people do vampire flicks if they do not put their hearts into it?
