Unbelievably bad execution of an unbelievably cool concept, the film is an inconsistent edit of great, atmospheric scenes and a beautifully rendered world clashing against terrible horror gags, a ridiculous storyline, hilariously bad fight sequences and a script that reads like nerd-vampire fan-fiction.

People in NZ were wondering why this movie was held back for almost three years before its release, but seeing it - the answer becomes clear. Expensive, straight-to-DVD fodder.
