8/10. In perspective this can be Tim Burtons strangest film. On his first movie Burton gives us the story of the freaky man child Pee-wee and the adventure in which he gets in while trying to recover his red bike.
The story has some amazing innovative moments, the story while not being as obscure as in most Burton films is full of creepy strange characters that represent perfectly the beginnings of the development of his stylistic films.
The movie is quite funny and strange, and while not it is not one of the best pictures I have seen, it´s the only movie where I have seen Godzilla and Santa Claus on a sleigh, being pulled by a motorboat, and then 5 minutes later a chimpanzee walking a dog.
Weird but somehow a classic.
