Quirky as all hell, this is the sort of movie and character which tends to divide an audience along pretty strict lines. This was my first true exposure to Paul Reubens' iconic man-child, and I personally enjoyed it.
It's a witty script, and the trio of actor, director, and composer bring it to a special sort of life. There simply aren't many movies or characters quite like this one. I also enjoyed how the film has the self-referential charm, especially towards the end, of a Warner Bros.
