Pee Wee Herman (Paul Reubens) is a precocious man-child who loses his beloved bicycle. This sends him on a frantic road trip resulting in amusing encounters, bizarre premises, and an unforgettable chase sequence.
Spun off from the popular and left-of-center TV show, Pee Wee's Big Adventure is arguably the funniest achievement made by Reubens as a comedic actor. This warm movie, which stands up well to multiple viewings, is also notable for being the directorial debut for Tim Burton.
