Although it features some interesting direction and a beautifully developed score, Pee-Wee's Big Adventure provides little entertainment value for adults. Through its sight gags and petty slapstick, Pee-Wee may be enough for the younger generation, but anyone looking for more than just slapstick comedy won't be able to find much in the film to be enjoyed.
