A really interesting film based on a clever story with an amazing performance from Cillian Murphy. Well written with believable characters and good performances from all involved. It falls down a little on how little John can cope with the world and the tight focus it keeps on the main characters giving you very little picture of the overall town and setting.
The themes explored are interesting and molded together well but remain at a fairly subdued pace, never really providing the sparking point of drama that the film needs. Saying that it will keep you guessing.
