Review of Peace, Love & Misunderstanding (2011) by David G — 13 Sep 2012
I had high hopes before watching this movie. The trailer made me believe that it was going to be funny and entertaining and a real feel-good movie that will make you appreciate yourself afterwards. This ended up being something completely different.
The beginning was very slow and it was hard to get into it. It felt like the movie's storyline got lost somewhere along the lines. It felt like it never really got you anywhere which made the movie a strain to watch.
It never really had a clear beginning, middle and end which means that it didn't really have anything dramaturgical in it that made you want to continue watching it. It is a shame really, the movie could have been a lot better. But sadly all the emotions that was tied into the storyline for some reason missed out on being a part of the movie. And that is mainly the reason for it ending up being so plain and tame when it could have included a lot more depth and sentimentality.
