Review of Paths of Glory (1957) by Conner R — 02 Jan 2010
By far the greatest WWI film ever made and one of the greatest war movies period. Stanley Kubrick's attention to detail and cinematic style is perfect for this story about the insanity of war and logic in its presence.
Kirk Douglas delivers one of his best performances and deviates from a lot of his other roles. War has never looked so beautiful and horrific at the same time.
