PATHS OF GLORY is Stanley Kubrick's first great film of many, a film that pulls no punches and is completely unambiguous about how it feels about war. It is a film that makes it's point in all the right places.
It is an unflinching and very shocking look at the psychological capabilities of mankind during wartime. The film is so well made that it was really a first glimpse of Kubrick's extraordinary abilities as a filmmaker- during that time, I believe he simply could not be denied as already one of the best filmmakers in the world.
