Review of Pather Panchali (1955) by Manisha D — 21 Jun 2007
Love, love, love this fil-M (and that's not just because part of it showcases my lovely hood of Varanasi. . . .o.k., that's *part* of the reason). Seeing this film reminds you of the potential impact movies can have on society.
The old woman and the girl that plays Apu's sister were so talented (and without any formal training). Everyone should see this film at least once, if not just for the cinematography.
