Review of Paterson (2016) by Chris F — 05 Apr 2017
Paterson is a fine but forgettable movie. Adam Driver is great in the title role. He excels in every scene he's in. The rest of the supporting cast are good in their roles as well. The film features some good humor in it.
There were a couple of times where I chuckled. The film really lacks a plot. It just shows abnormal bus driver's routine for a week. It could've been completely boring, but it wasn't, for the most part.
When the film starts, you have to get used to its tone. Once you get used to it, the film is interesting. The film is also very poetic. Poetry doesn't really interest me, but if you like it, you'll love this movie.
Overall, this film was fine. It didn't surprise me or captivate me, but it was a fine way to kill two hours.
