With space films taking up a liking in Hollywood it was only a matter of time before a romance was put in a pod and sent up there. To start with the positives, the visual effects were stunning and Thomas Newman's score was beautiful.
Pretty much everything else was plain weird. Pratt and Lawrence have no chemistry what so ever and the plot is predictable to a fault. Every line can be foreseen an hour before it's said and the amount of cheesy moments is cringeworthy.
I can definitely understand why it was crowned worst film of 2016.
