Passengers features the idea of having a world where the earth is overpopulated and this compells a company called homestead to transfer people to a different planet. I think the movie gives us an idea of how our future will turn out.
I plot was extremely unpredictable and unrealistic so that's something the movie could've worked on to be honest.
