Review of Passengers (2016) by Eric H — 12 Mar 2017
The acting was great (5/5) - curious to see how Chris Pratt does long term in serious roles.
The music was also great (5/5) - Thomas Newman giving us fun, light, and epic film score. It reminded me of a less harsh version of Hans Zimmer. Or if Hans Zimmer had a baby with Jerry Goldsmith.
Visually the movie was awesome (5/5).
The story (4/5) - not sure why this movie got such bad reviews when it came out. Yes it lacked certain elements and they did skips some steps in getting from point A to point B. Maybe even certain parts of the story were oversimplified with un-climatic lat 30 minuets when the movie should have been the most thrilling and even at the very end left you wanting more closure. But, that being said, the story was also fun and emotional at points.
I would definitely recommend this movie to whomever is looking for a good film to watch. Your expectations might just be so low you will be blown away like I was.
