Review of Paris, Texas (1984) by David D — 29 Oct 2009
Simply stunning.
Harry Dean Stanton gives the best performance of his career as alonely wanderer, who when found by his brother, pieces together his past.
The cinematography is incredible making full use of the landscapes of Texas. The colors are lush and beautiful as well.
The score by Ry Cooder is one of the most haunting I've ever heard.
This film is absolutely fantastic.
