Review of Paris 36 (2008) by Adriel T — 10 Oct 2009
Faubourg 36's trailer mainly focuses on its production design. I must admit the production design for the movie is charmingly well-done. From the Chansonia theatre to the amazing setting that can be compared to that of Paris in 1936.
The problem, however, lies in its pacing. The pace for this movie is extremely fast that in the end it makes it very hard to follow, especially after the main female character is introduced in the movie.
Don't get me wrong though. Artists will undoubtedly love this movie for other reasons. I found this to be 'all right'. Not that good, not that bad. There are things that can be much improved.
Love the musical numbers. Makes it worth watching.
