Review of Papillon (1973) by Robert E — 10 Sep 2008
For some reason I assumed this was in black & white and was relieved when I saw color in the opening shot... and it needed color for all the locales that they went to to shot this... McQueen gives the best "acting" that I've ever seen from him.
.. the only downside of the film is Dustin Hoffman, who I can't stand (especially the character he plays: the same one he plays in everything else).
