This movie was a decidedly fresh take on the love story formula. it takes an appreciation of subtle humor and character interaction to get the most out of this film , as the film is dialogue-driven and complex interactions are filtered through michael and charlynes deadpan deliveries.
their awkwardness is charming and entertaining at the same time, and I think the chemistry displayed is that of one eccentric appreciating another eccentric. a welcome breather from the physical infatuation that drives most love stories.
