Highly original, brilliantly thought out, visually stunning, incredibly engrossing, and endlessly thought-provoking, Pan's Labyrinth blends reality and fantasy and then compares the two worlds but also establishes a dense main character. The film is infinitely layered and showcases great filmmaking, especially in the script, direction, cinematography, art-direction, and special effects.
