This made me laugh, especially in the most uneasy, tense moments and I believe that was the point. This is, like his other works, is truly dark humor and tackles very taboo topics. Todd Solondz did a wonderful job balancing attitudes toward the liberal arty farty mom and the Jesus-lovin' mama Sunshine quite well, IMO.
This is NOT for the faint of heart.
