Review of Palindromes (2005) by Jeffrey M — 01 Apr 2009
I've watched this twice now and I don't really get it...why does Aviva keep changing? I'm assuming it is some kind of message that regardless of age, race, size - girls can all have similar experiences growing up?? One thing I did notice this time which I missed before was that the story is dedicated to Dawn Wiener - a character in Todd Solondz's previous film from 10 yrs previous.
I can see the similarites in the two films...both about the awkwardness of growing up and not fitting in with your family.
