Nothing more than shameless cash grab. It has none of the soul and passion that went into the first Pacific Rim. Everything Guillermo Del Toro built in the first film was thrown away and replaced with phoned in acting, generic and nonsensical plot lines and a complete disregard for the movie viewer experience.
