Loud, obnoxious, gorgeous, and fun.. everything it needed to be. When they aren't hamming it up, they are blowing you away with action.. and boy does it deliver in that department. You don't go to see a movie like this for the story/acting.
.. you go to see giant mechs beating down kaiju in the most spectacular ways imaginable... check and check.
