There are nr2 movies that are better than the original.Case and point:

Star Wars 2 (the Empire Strikes Back).

The Godfather2 Mad Max 2 (The Road Warrior) And so on. You have to see nr.1 to fully get them but they are way WAY better... And soThere are nr2 movies that are better than the original.Case and point:

And so on. You have to see nr.1 to fully get them but they are way WAY better... And so is Pacific Rim 2 (Uprising).

If BIG MECH/JEAGER destruction of the iconic urban mega environments like Tokyo Sidney and Hong Kong are your thing (And they sure are mine) then this is as good as it gets.

IT's also funnier than the first movie. The characters are more relatable/(they are flawed and slightly nuts)And the battles are superb.

Let's face it, we are in hardcore popcorn territory here and, this is as good as it gets.

Yeah I used "as good as it gets" twice so it's a well deserved 10.
