Review of Outland (1981) by Senor C — 13 Sep 2010
So I haven't seen High Noon that I guess this is a Sci-Fi version of. You can feel that western influence though as the doors swing like those in a saloon. It's nice to have a addition of Peter Boyle along in the cast w/ Sean Connery.
Im finding over time Im discovering little gems w/ Boyle in them; I really like him (the best thing about that terrible show Everybody Love Raymond). Connery is the new marshal in a mining colony on Jupiter's moon & people are going crazy.
He soon discoveries that it from a synthetic drug & Boyle's bringing it in. Connery ends up being a pain in Boyle's ass so Boyle brings in a couple of hitmen in to take care of Connery...Some great exploding heads in this that makes me want to see Scanners again.
