One of those movies that's hard to watch but not because it's a terrible film. They play this a lot on TV & it always has a lingering disturbing effect on me, so it must be doing something right.
And for a movie where the audience knows who the villain is right from the start but the characters don't - I reckon the movie pulled it off well - they can usually be so drawn-out & tedious. Vera Farmiga was great in this.
And I speak for everyone when I say, the father totally deserved to die. What a denial ridden prick.
